BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE: OPERATIONS AND RESEARCH

About the role 
Responsibilities include:  

  • Researching trends in philanthropy, relationships we should target, profile write-ups to support fundraising activities  
  • Drive strategic research projects with relevant BD leads  
  • Provide strategic/project support to the Chief of BD, including preparation of materials for internal and external meetings 
  • Operational support – take on key aspects of Salesforce database management, working closely with the team: 
    • Ensure data integrity and support maintenance of system 
    • Support with reporting and integration 
  • Support for the Chief of BD (< 20% time commitment): 
    • Arrange and ensure the seamless run of the day-to-day schedule of the Chief of BD 
    • Support with fundraising activities, including managing entry of Call Reports in Salesforce 
    • Process monthly expenses as needed 

Qualifications 
This position is for someone who delights in a fast-paced, mission-driven, high-intensity, ever-changing environment.  

  • 2 - 3 years' experience; bachelor degree is required. 
  • An enthusiasm for research, structuring information, producing insights and generating leads 
  • Experience analyzing qualitative or quantitative data, and synthesizing information 
  • Superior detail orientation; proven success in detail-demanding roles 
  • Curiosity and coachability; someone who is self-motivated and hungry to learn 
  • Permanent work authorization in the US
